Terms of Service
These terms govern use of the Carcassonne Stays website, directory, listing claims, paid partner visibility and related marketplace services.
Before accepting commercial orders, add the operator's legal name, legal form, registered address, telephone number, registration or SIRET/RCS details, VAT number where applicable, publication director and complete Hostinger legal details. These terms should then be reviewed for the operator's final legal structure.
1. Role of Carcassonne Stays
Carcassonne Stays is a local discovery, promotion and connection platform. Unless a page expressly states otherwise, it is not the accommodation provider, restaurant, attraction, transport operator, tour operator or payment recipient for a visitor's purchase from a third party.
2. Directory information
We aim to present useful factual information, but opening hours, contact details, prices, availability and services may change. Visitors should confirm time-sensitive information directly with the relevant business. Inclusion is not a guarantee, endorsement or inspection unless a specific verified or recommended status is explained.
3. Enquiries, bookings and third parties
A visitor contract for accommodation, food, transport, an activity or another third-party service is made with the named provider. That provider controls its prices, availability, cancellation policy, safety obligations and service delivery. Carcassonne Stays is not responsible for a provider's acts or omissions except to the extent required by applicable law.
4. Concierge services
Carcassonne Concierge is linked as a related service but may issue separate quotations and terms. External Concierge links open separately so visitors do not lose the Carcassonne Stays page. Third-party activities arranged or recommended by Concierge remain subject to the provider's own terms.
5. Free listings and claims
Basic listings may contain publicly available business information. An owner or authorized representative may request correction or claim review. Claiming is free but requires reasonable verification. We may reject, suspend or remove misleading, unlawful, duplicate, unsafe or unverifiable content.
6. Paid business services
Premium and Showcase services provide enhanced presentation and promotion; they do not guarantee traffic, enquiries, bookings, revenue or search-engine position. Publication and upgrades remain subject to approval. Marketing, website, branding, printing and Business Builder services require a separate written scope or quotation.
7. Payments, term and renewal
The current PayPal annual listing checkout is intended as a one-time payment for the stated twelve-month period unless PayPal clearly identifies it as a recurring subscription. The purchased service begins after payment is matched to an approved listing. Renewal, cancellation and any agreed refund terms will be stated in the order confirmation or quotation. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
8. Deals, packages and coupons
Every offer must identify the participating provider, validity period, availability, exclusions and redemption rules. A cooperative package may combine separately supplied services. Unless explicitly sold as one package by an identified organizer, each provider remains responsible for its own component.
9. Business content and intellectual property
A business submitting text, images, logos, menus or offers confirms it has permission to use them and grants Carcassonne Stays a non-exclusive license to display and promote them for the agreed service. Carcassonne Stays branding, original site design and original editorial content may not be copied without permission.
10. Acceptable use
Users must not submit false claims, impersonate a business, upload unlawful content, interfere with the site, scrape it at unreasonable scale, misuse personal information or attempt fraudulent payments or coupon redemptions.
11. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that rule, Carcassonne Stays is not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, third-party availability, external websites or decisions based on information that the user failed to confirm when confirmation would be reasonable.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law, without removing mandatory protections that apply to a user in another jurisdiction. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute by contacting basilleafchronicles@gmail.com. Required consumer-mediation and competent-court information must be completed once the legal operator and customer model are confirmed.
13. Changes
We may update these terms when marketplace services change. Material changes affecting a paid active service will be communicated where reasonably required.
